Six families.
Everything one channel needs.

Buoys, beacons, lanterns, telemetry terminals and monitoring payloads — specify a single item or configure a complete stretch of waterway. Each family is divided into series suited to different water conditions.

How to specify

Water first, then form, then configuration.Get the order wrong and no amount of datasheet detail will save the selection.

Specifying aids to navigation does not start with a model table. Channel class, current speed, water-level range and traffic density determine hull form, material and mooring. Nominal range and light character are set together with position planning. Telemetry follows from how the aids will be maintained — not from the hardware.

Step 01

Define the water

Inland, port, bridge area, canal or open coast? Current, water-level range, ice and floating debris drive material and structural choices.

Step 02

Define the form

Pillar, boat-shaped or fixed beacon — decided by depth, traffic density, dragging risk and how easily a maintenance vessel can reach the station.

Step 03

Define the fit-out

Nominal range and light character, topmarks and dayboards, telemetry, additional sensor payloads — set by the maintenance model, not by the budget line.

UHMWPE navigation buoy
01 · UHMWPE

UHMWPE AtoN

Buoys · Boat-shaped buoys · Beacons · Topmarks

Built around ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. No rust, no protective coating cycle, and impacts usually deform rather than breach the hull — suited to long service between visits.

Metal aid to navigation
02 · METAL

Metal AtoN

Steel buoys · Steel & aluminium beacons · Shore marks

For specifications that call for metal structures. Still the right answer for large hulls, high load-bearing requirements, or where new aids must match existing infrastructure.

Solar marine lantern
03 · LANTERN

Marine Lanterns

Self-contained · Split · Multiple range classes

Solar LED lanterns with programmable light characters, optional synchronised flashing, and an optional telemetry module reporting lantern status to your platform.

04 · TELEMETRY

Remote Monitoring

RTU · AIS AtoN · Platform integration

Light character, battery voltage, position and off-station alarms reported to your channel management platform. The hardware is the entry point — the value is in what the data changes.

05 · DATA

Data & Multi-payload Buoys

Hydrological · Meteorological · Water quality

Monitoring payloads carried on a navigation buoy, so one hull serves both duties — removing the cost and servicing load of a separate monitoring station.
