Buoy being lifted for deployment

Project services.

Select · Supply · Install · Commission · Maintain

Delivery is complete when the aids are working on station. Shipping is a step in the middle — whether positions are accurate, characters correct and telemetry genuinely reaching the platform is what acceptance actually examines.

How delivery works

Five stages, each with a named contact. No "the goods have shipped, the rest is your problem".

01

Requirement & selection

Positions, forms and light characters set against channel class, water conditions and traffic density.

02

Proposal & quotation

Configuration list and technical notes covering interfaces, mooring and spares.

03

Production & supply

Scheduling, inspection, export packing and phased shipment to project milestones.

04

Installation & commissioning

Deployment, mooring, light character setting and telemetry onboarding.

05

Maintenance & spares

Status tracking, fault response and continued supply of consumables and spares.

Scope

Six things projects actually use

01

Selection support

Not a model table — a recommended configuration built from the channel conditions you give us. Get selection wrong and every later stage inherits the error.

02

Volume supply

Phased delivery to project milestones, avoiding site congestion and double handling. Packing specified against transport mode and site access.

03

Deployment & mooring

Position fixing, sinker placement and chain adjustment. Reaches with large level variation are checked against the worst credible case.

04

Light character setting

Characters set consistently and synchronisation verified, so several marks in one reach read as a pattern rather than noise.

05

Telemetry commissioning

Confirming the data really arrives and alarms really fire. Skip this and the telemetry may as well not be fitted.

06

Spares & fault response

Ongoing supply of consumables and fault response. Best fixed in the contract — spares list and response time written down.

Scope boundaries

Settle these in the contractWriting it down is far cheaper than negotiating it later.

Project services · terms to define
Supply scopeInterface split between hulls, lanterns, telemetry, mooring components and spares
Delivery termsDestination, phased milestones and unloading conditions
Installation scopeWhether vessels are included, whether underwater work is included, who handles waterway coordination
Commissioning & acceptanceCharacter verification, telemetry onboarding confirmation and acceptance criteria
Response timeTo be completed: fault response and attendance commitments
WarrantyTo be completed: warranty period and terms per product family
Spares supplyTo be completed: standard consumables list and lead times
IncotermsTo be confirmed: trade terms and typical ports of loading

Every ⌛ term has to reflect the company's actual service commitments. Warranty periods and response times are checked line by line during contract review — they should not be fixed on a web page in advance.
